    Renjo La Pass

    Renjo la pass is another popular pass in the Everest region. It lies at an altitude of 5435 m above sea level. This pass is an adventurous pass with some obstacles in the Everest region. The alpine glacial views and snowy trails are the exciting part of this pass. Renjo La pass is one of three major passes in the Everest region. After crossing the Renjo La Pass, Gokyo Lake can be reached.

    Kongma La Pass is situated at an altitude of 5,535 meters above sea level. It is one of the best spots to witness the Himalayas. It is regarded as one of the most difficult passes among the three passes of the Everest region. Similarly, the path is steep from the Chukung side.     Cho La Pass

    Cho la pass is the adventurous high trekking pass that lies in the Solu-Khumbu district of  Everest region. It lies at 5420 m above sea level in the northeastern part of Nepal. Cho la pass continues to Gokyo Lake in the west whereas east trail joins the Everest Base Camp. The pass is however physically demanding and may require some crampons.

    Cho la pass divides the trail to the Everest region and Gokyo lake. In the Everest part, the snowy and rocky formations are challenging. The western part of Cho La Pass follows the green grasslands somewhere and Ngozumpa glacier on the way. The snow can obscure the trail during trekking in this region. This pass is often considered to be dangerous. The terrain is made of loose rocks, ice and large boulders. The awe-inspiring landscapes and astounding views of Himalayan peaks are a major attraction here. It itself lies in the Himalayan terrain and has assorted natural beauty. Immensely adventurous Cho la pass is popular for its picturesque beauty and the Himalayan views.     Cho la pass crossing is the major challenge. It is best if crossed during the morning time. Getting up early by 4 AM and pass it before 10 AM is the best option to cross Cho la pass. During the early noon, the wind makes it difficult to cross the pass. And it is good to hire a guide to cross the pass as it might turn out to be difficult and dangerous in the Upper Himalayan region of Nepal.

    Nagdalo La Pass

    Nagdalo La Pass lies at an elevation of 5,350 meters above sea level. You will cross this pass to reach Shey Gompa. Walking through the bank of the Tuk kyaksa khola you will reach High camp and then to the Nagdalo la pass. Marvellous views of the mountain ranges, as well as the beautiful villages, can be seen from the top.

    Kang La Pass

    It is a popular high pass in the Dolpo region. Situated at 5100 m above sea level, this pass lies between Shey Phoksundo Lake and Shey Gompa. The magnificent views of the Dolpo region and distinct culture along with the astounding Himalayan views are the major attractions of this region. The deep deserted valleys and Himalayan peaks can be seen from this pass. Also, the scenery and magnificent views of the Annapurna region can be seen.

    Saldang La Pass

    Saldang la pass lies in the Upper Dolpo region. It lies at an altitude of 5200 m above sea level. The breathtaking views of Dhaulagiri and Kanjirowa Himal can be seen from this pass. The pristine Tibetan culture and traditions, pristine wilderness and Himalayan views are the main attractions of this region. After crossing the Saldang La Pass of the Upper Dolpo region of Nepal Jomsom can be reached.     Thorong La Pass

    Thorong La pass is one of the most popular trekking passes in Nepal. Also known as the gateway to Annapurna, this pass is the world popular for its spectacular beauty and astounding scenery. It is located at an elevation of 5416 m above sea level. Lies in the north of mighty Annapurna, this pass is highly revered for its amazing beauty. This pass connects Manang district in the east and Muktinath and Mustang region in the west. It is the highest point in the Annapurna circuit.

    Khatung Kang and Yakawa Kang are the two mountain ranges that form the Thorong La Pass. Thorong La Pass is also the most difficult part of the whole Annapurna Circuit Trek. Crossing Thorong La Pass is also the longest day of the trek and trekkers start an early morning walk in order to cross the pass on time. Strong cold wind blows around the Thorong La Pass after a few hours of sunrise and makes it nearly impossible to trek during those hours of the day. This is also the main reason for the early start while crossing Thorong La.

    Thapa Pass

    Thapa Pass is one of the highest passes of the Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek.  Situated at an altitude of 5,250 meters above sea level it is one of the difficult and isolated passes of Nepal. There is no technical climbing required for the Thapa Pass. But the snow around the trekking trail makes the trek difficult. Thapa Pass is also known by the name Dhampus Pass. 

    Neng La Pass

    Neng la pass is another high pass that you will be crossing during your upper Dolpo circuit trek. It lies at an elevation of 5,402 meters above sea level. Similarly, it is also the highest point of our upper Dolpo circuit trek.  You will cross this pass during your 11th day of the trek. This pass joins the Bhijir village with Saldang village. Marvellous views of the mountain ranges and the Saldang village can be seen from the top.

    French pass

    French Pass is another popular pass that lies in the Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek situated at an altitude of 5,360 meters above sea level. 360-degree views of the high mountain ranges can be seen from the French Pass. Meanwhile, a Magnificent view of the snow-capped Dhaulagiri mountain is the main highlight of the French Pass. In order to cross the French Pass, the trekkers have to climb the steep hillside above the Glaciers. 

    Tashi Lapcha La Pass

    Tashi Lapcha La Pass is situated in the Rolwaling Valley of Nepal. Situated at an altitude of  5,755 meters above sea level, it is one of the most challenging passes of Nepal. Meanwhile, ropes and mountaineering equipment may be needed to cross this pass during the winter at the time of snowfall. After crossing the Tashi Lapcha La pass one can reach the Everest region of Nepal.

    Tashi Lapcha La Pass is one of the demanding passes of Nepal and there is a high chance of Avalanche around this trekking route. To reach the top of the Tashi Lapcha La Pass trekkers need to walk on the bank of Drolambau Glacier. There is no human settlement after Na village until Thame valley. Because of that 2-3 days of camping is required to cross this pass and reach the human settlement area. Amazing views of the Khumbu Himalayas and Rolwaling region can be seen from the top of the pass. 

    Larkya La Pass

    Situated at an altitude of 5200 meters, this pass lies in the Manaslu region of Nepal. This pass is one of the most beautiful passes in the trekking zone in the Himalayas of Nepal. Not much challenging but have huge beautiful attributes, this pass is popular for trekking in the Manaslu region. The trail leading to Larkya la pass starts from Gorkha, Arughat. With the spectacular mountainous beauty and diverse cultural experiences, this pass offers amazing experiences.

    Larkya La Pass is situated between Dharmashala and Bhimthang. It is also the highest point of the Manaslu Circuit Trek. Larkya La pass is not a technical pass and no ropes or climbing equipment are required to cross this pass. However, This region is popular for the sudden storms which make trekking difficult. During the time of snowfall, Larkya La Pass is even more difficult to cross because of the slippery route. 

    Nar Pass

    Nar Pass is situated in a restricted area of Nar Phu Valley of Nepal. It lies among one of the high passes of the Annapurna region. It is situated at an altitude of 5,400 meters above sea level. The 360-degree view of the mountain ranges can be seen from the top of the hill. Bhrikuti, Himlung, Chulu, Annapurna and Kangaru are some of the mountain ranges that can be seen from the Nar Pass. Nar Pass is one of the challenging passes of the Annapurna region. It is visited by many trekkers every year. 

    Phu Pass

    Phu Pass is another high pass situated in the restricted Nar Phu Valley of Nepal. Nar. Situated at an altitude of 5,043 meters above sea level fascinating views of the Himlung and Kangaru Himal can be seen from the top of the pass. Besides the mountain ranges, amazing views of the Himlung Glacier also can be seen from the Phu Pass.  It is one of the few visited and isolated passes of the Annapurna region of Nepal. 

    Jeng La Pass

    Jeng la pass also lies in the Upper Dolpo region. It lies at an altitude of 5090 meters above sea level. It is also the major pass in the Dolpo region.     Kang La Pass (Nar Phu)

Kang La Pass is located in the Annapurna region of Nepal and is seen as one of the most difficult passes to cross. 

    Kang La Pass was opened for all the trekkers since 2003 by King Mahendra. After crossing the Kang La Pass from Kang La Phedi of the Nar Phu valley side you can reach Nagwal village. Nagwa village lies on the Annapurna Circuit Trek and trekkers have the option to trek further to reach Manang village. Amazing views of the Annapurna, Chulu and Lamjung Himal can be seen from the top of the Kang La Pass. 

    Ganja La Pass

    Ganja la pass is one of the most challenging passes in the Langtang region. Situated at an altitude of 5132 m., this trail offers splendid beauty and Himalayan views along with the diverse cultural experiences in the Langtang region. Also, the spectacular views of Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, Naya Kang, Ganchempo and Yala peak can be seen from Ganja La pass.

    Ganja La Pass is one of the technical passes of the Langtang region of Nepal. Ropes are necessary to cross the trek. Meanwhile, there is no human settlement during the trek and the trekkers have to spend a night on tented camps after crossing the pass. The path is slippery due to snowfall during most parts of the year making it even more difficult to cross. Meanwhile, After crossing the Ganja La Pass you will reach the Helambu Circuit Trekking route. 

    Namuna La Pass

    Namuna La Pass is located in the Annapurna region of Nepal. Situated at an altitude of 5,550 meters above sea level, it borders the Manang and Kaski districts of Nepal. The trek to Namuna La Pass starts from the Sikles village of Kaski district and joins the Annapurna Circuit Trek after reaching the Timang village of Manang district. Sightseeing of the Kapuche Lake and Dudh Pokharai can also be during the trek to Namuna La Pass. 

    Namuna La Pass is one of the difficult and high passes of the Annapurna region of Nepal. Marvellous views of the Annapurna, Machhapuchhre and Lamjung Himal can be seen from the top of the hill. Similarly, Lamjung, Manang and Kaski districts of Nepal can also be seen from the top of the pass. 

    Saribung La Pass

    Saribung La Pass is one of the Highest passes of Nepal situated at an altitude of 6,320 meters above sea level. There is a high chance of having altitude sickness. Similarly, the trekking route to Saribung La Pass is difficult and challenging. Beginner with normal fitness level and no previous hiking experience is not recommended for this trek. 

    Saribung La Pass is located in the north of the Mustang region of Nepal. Meanwhile, it is close to the border of China and Tibet. The route to Saribung La Pass is rugged, cutting high into the cliffside and passes through the ancient villages which are still unexplored and untouched by the modern tradition and culture. Saribung La Pass lies in the Annapurna region of Nepal and connects the Mustang region with Nar Phu valley. 

    Mesokanto La Pass

    Situated at an altitude of 5,330 meters above sea level, Mesokanto La Pass is one of the challenging high passes of the Annapurna region of Nepal. Mesokanto La Pass starts after exploring the eye-appealing Tilicho lake situated at an altitude of 4,919 meters above sea level. There are no hotels and lodges after the tilicho base camp. Camping is required to cross the Mesokanto La Pass. After crossing the Mesokanto La Pass one can reach the Mustang district from the Manang District.

    Mesokanto La Pass is one of the isolated passes of the Annapurna region of Nepal. It is visited by very few numbers of trekkers. Mesokanto La Pass is chosen by few trekkers because of the hard level of the trek difficult than that of Thorong La Pass. Keeping aside the difficulties, fascinating views of the Annapurna can be seen during the Mesokanto La Pass Trek. 

    Kagmara La Pass

    Kagmara La Pass is another high pass of the Dolpo region of Nepal.  Situated at an altitude of 5,115 meters above sea level. Similarly, it is also one of the highest inhabited plateaus in the world. Eye appealing views of the mountain ranges and valleys can be seen from the top of the Kagmara La Pass. Kagmara La Pass starts from the Kagmara High Camp situated at an elevation of 4,800 meters above sea level and ends at Kagmara Phedi situated at an altitude of 2,900 meters above sea level.

    Kagmara La Pass connects the isolated villages of Dolpo and Jumla. Similarly, crossing Kagmara La Pass is an ideal option to join the two different popular lakes of the far western region of Nepal. These two lakes include Shey Phoksundo Lake and Rara Lake. Bon Po, the Buddhist religion is still in practice in some of the villages of this region.

    Jayanta La Pass

    Jayanta la pass is the last pass that you will be crossing during your upper Dolpo circuit trek. It is situated at an elevation of 5,220 meters above sea level. You will need to stay overnight at a high camp to cross this pass and reach Dho Tarap. Similarly, due to the high snowfall in this area, this pass is open from April to November only. Meanwhile, in other months of the year, it is quite difficult to cross this pass.

    Rupina La Pass

    Rupina La Pass is one of the challenging high trekking passes of Nepal and the Manaslu region. Not only the Manaslu region but it is also one of the most difficult and challenging passes of Nepal situated at an altitude of  4,610 meters above sea level. Although, being at a lower altitude is more challenging than other high passes of Nepal. Rupina La Pass was officially started for trekkers in 1991. But only a few trekkers explore this pass every year. Rupina La Pass is the only pass below 5,000 meters above sea level which is more challenging and demanding than other high passes of Nepal.
