Ride the Rapids on Trishuli River Rafting
Ever since white-water rafting was introduced in Nepal in the late 1960s, plenty of tourists have been coming every year to experience this exhilarating adventure. Among the 16 rivers suitable for rafting, the Trishuli River stands out as the most popular choice.
It’s close to Kathmandu and lies even conveniently on the way to Pokhara. That’s why this adventure fits perfectly into our package. And to be honest with you, our previous guests have absolutely loved this adventure!
The rafting begins from Charaudi and lasts about 3 to 4 hours, covering approximately 22 kilometers. There’s also a shorter version that lasts 1 to 2 hours, but Altitude Himalaya wants you to experience only the best. Still, the choice is entirely yours!
You’ll pass through the stunning gorges of Dhading District and end your journey in Kurintar, Chitwan. It’s not just a passive adventure where you sit back and relax. This one calls for real teamwork and collaboration.
Even our Altitude Himalaya team has gone on this adventure a few times, and each trip has significantly strengthened our bond. So, if you’re doing this with family or friends, you’re truly going to have one of the best bonding experiences of your life!
A professional guide will be present on each raft, accompanied by an emergency safety team following along in kayaks for added security.
You’ll also be part of a group of multiple rafts, and from time to time, you’ll take part in fun races through the rapids. The raft even stops halfway for an exciting beach game, and the winner gets a special prize (a surprise for now)!
Must-check package: 9-day Nepal River Rafting Tour
Boating and Kayaking in Phewa Lake
Visiting Pokhara without properly immersing yourself in Phewa Lake is like visiting Paris and skipping the Eiffel Tower. And since you’re an adventure lover, there’s so much you can enjoy here, even in a short amount of time.
The simplest activity we’ve included in this 10-day Nepal Adventure Tour Package is boating in a small rowboat after you return from the World Peace Stupa. If you’re traveling in a larger group, we’ll have a bigger paddleboat arranged for you.
A short hike followed by a peaceful cruise across one of Nepal’s most famous lakes can be incredibly refreshing! Don’t hesitate to ask for the paddle from your boat operator and try rowing it yourself.
We’ve also added an optional visit to Tal Barahi Temple, a sacred site located right in the middle of the lake. However, it’s completely up to you whether you wish to visit or not.
In recent days, traditional boating has slowly started to make way for kayaking and stand-up paddling. The lake is now full of people enjoying these trending activities, and we’re pretty sure you’ll want to try them too once you see others doing it.
For that reason, Altitude Himalaya has added this as a must-do adventure in the tour. It’s simple, fun, engaging, and perfect to enjoy during sunset for about an hour or two.
Face the Heights with Kushma Bungee
The highlight of this adventure has to be jumping off a 228-meter cliff in Parbat. Kushma Bungee is now the third-highest bungee jump in the world (previously second) and the highest in Nepal.
After a proper inspection of your weight and medical/injury history, you’ll be trained by professional jump masters and operators. One of the crew members will guide you through the entire process, explaining the dos and don’ts of bungee jumping. So, make sure to listen carefully!
All you need is a strong mindset, ensuring that fear doesn’t take over. Everything else, from using the safety equipment to tightening your gear, is taken care of by the team.
Don’t make the mistake of looking down. It feels like the Kali Gandaki River is calling you, which only adds to the fear. Look straight ahead or close your eyes as the jump master counts down: ‘3, 2, 1, bungee…’
The entire jump lasts about 5 to 10 minutes, but what truly matters is the experience you’ll carry with you. You can even choose a tandem bungee or go for an entirely different adventure, like the swing or sky-gliding.
This adrenaline-rushing adventure is probably on everyone’s bucket list, and doing it right here in Nepal makes it even more unforgettable.
Paragliding Over Pokhara’s Scenic Beauty
Every one of us has dreamed of flying like a bird at least once in our lives, right? With our Paragliding in Pokhara service, we’ve already helped thousands of guests spread their wings. And now, it’s your turn!
For this adventure, you’ll head to the takeoff point on the nearby Sarangkot Hill. The pilot will walk you through everything you need to know to ensure your flight goes smoothly.
After a proper inspection of the wind and weather, the pilot will decide the best time for takeoff. Your job is to get a good running start and soar through the air to gain height and fly as far as possible. After that, all you need to do is sit back, relax, and let the pilot handle the rest.
You’ll take in the stunning views of Pokhara City, Phewa Lake, and the surrounding mountains from above. And to make the experience even more thrilling, don’t hesitate to ask your pilot to show off some of their flying skills!
This paragliding adventure lasts about 30 to 45 minutes, and when it’s time to land at the banks of Phewa Lake, just remember to make a small run to land safely. Don’t worry! You’ll be fully guided throughout the entire experience.
Cycle Through Nature to Pame Village
Nepal’s scenic trails aren’t just limited to trekking. Many adventure lovers also opt for mountain biking tours. The route to Pame Village, passing along the banks of Phewa Lake and Khapaudi, is short yet very popular in Pokhara.
You’ll be cycling through paddy fields, pastures, villages, dense forests, single tracks, and even jeep tracks. Panchase Village is the perfect destination to unwind and enjoy the marvelous views of the mountain ranges as you ride along the Harpan River Valley.
Keep in mind that you can even customize the trail based on your preferences. Perhaps, you’d like to choose a different region around Pokhara. The total ride time we offer is about 3 to 4 hours, so you stay energized and fresh for the adventures that lie ahead.
A Short Hike to Australian Base Camp
You’re in Nepal, and returning without a trek would be a complete disappointment. However, it’s essential to know that even short treks usually last three to four days, which can leave you tired and make the other adventures feel less rewarding.
For that reason, Altitude Himalaya includes this short yet scenic hike in this 10-day package, starting from Phedi (1130m). Soon enough, you’ll pass through the beautiful Dhampus Village (1650m) and finally reach the Australian Base Camp (2060m).
It’s a 6 km uphill climb that takes about 4 to 5 hours, depending on your walking pace. There’s no need to worry much about altitude sickness, and this is going to be a guided tour with you needing just a light backpack.
This is the perfect opportunity to meet and greet the locals, with playful children often asking for chocolates as you pass. Don’t forget to wave your hand and say ‘namaste’ as you walk along the well-maintained trail.
Note that this is the same trail that leads to the famous Mardi Himal Base Camp (4500m). However, choosing that route would require an additional four to five days.
You’ll spend the night at Australian Base Camp, and the next morning, you’ll wake up to incredible views of the Annapurna range, including Machhapuchhre, Hiunchuli, Manaslu, Dhaulagiri, Lamjung Himal, and many other mountains & peaks.
The hike continues the next day, as you take a different route toward Kande before driving off to your next adventure.
A Thrilling Zip-Flying Experience in Pokhara
Yet another adrenaline-pumping adventure in this 10-day tour is the zip-flyer, which spans a 600-meter drop across a distance of 1.8 kilometers. This happens to be the steepest, tallest, and longest zip-line in the world. And once you try it, you’ll definitely have a story to tell!
You get two harness options to choose from: Seated or Superman, with the latter offering a more adventurous ride. You won’t just be flying over valleys, but enjoy stunning views of the Fishtail (Machhapuchhre) and the Annapurna range on your left as you glide at speeds reaching up to 140 km/h.
You’ll be taken to the take-off point in Sarangkot by the service provider themselves, either in a private vehicle or via a scenic cable car ride. After gliding for about a minute, you’ll land at the base in Hemja.
From gearing you up, hooking you in, and launching the ride, everything is handled by the operators there. All you have to do is soar and embrace the thrill. Just don’t forget to give your best reactions because every expression will be captured!
