    Rupse Waterfall

    Rupse Waterfall is another major attraction of Mustang travel diaries. Starting from the famous riverside city of Beni, passing through the famous Kali Gandaki gorge, the world’s deepest canyon and bumpy roads lie the hidden gem waterfall of Nepal, Rupse Waterfall. The water falls from an altitude of 300 meters, straight to the Kali Gandaki river. This waterfall is considered a wonder of Nepal.

    The waterfall is about 38km away from the major city, Beni, and takes a couple of hours to reach. It lies in Dana VDC of Myagdi district, Nepal. This visit not only takes one’s breath away but also provides an opportunity to visit far-flung areas and exotic locations. The beautiful village of Marpha is just 30 km away from Rupse.

    Simba fall

    A recently revealed secret of Manikhel, a village in Lalitpur district is the Simba fall. The village lies around 50 km away from the busy city of Kathmandu. The name “Simba” is derived from the Tamang language which means Cold, as the water of the fall is shivering cold, from the beautiful village of Manikhel it takes around an hour to reach the fall.

    The beaten path is a little scary but full of adventure, the vicinity of the waterfall makes the scenery captivating. There is a saying “Difficult roads often lead to a beautiful destination” . This is true in the case of Simba fall, the trail is small and steep.

    You have to keep your feet and hands in the right place, be cautious at some part, but in the end you will witness a piece of heaven on Earth. When the cold and pure water touches one’s body, it sends the chill down to the bone and gives eternal pureness and freshness.

    The route is quite simple, you can get a public bus from Ratnapark, Kathmandu to Chapagaun, from Chapagaun bus park you can get another bus to Manikhel. The bus fare is 200(one way), and the roads are quite challenging too. You can also have a private road trip on your desired vehicle.

    Chetchet Waterfall

    This is one the most beautiful waterfalls in Nepal. It's situated just above the cliff road, and gives a pretty good water sprinkle to those who pass through it. This waterfall lies in Dolakha district and is another main attraction of Tsho-Rolpa trek. You would be seated inside your vehicle and see a gigantic fall flowing from the high cliff straight towards the tireless Tama Koshi River.

    The route to this waterfall is quite simple, it is around 15Km away from Singati, a small city in Dolakha district. It takes around 10-12 hours to reach the fall from Kathmandu.

    Route: Ratna Park – Dhulikhel – Dolalghat – Khadichaur – Mude – Charikot (Headquarter) – Singati – Bhorley Jharna

    Davis Fall

    This is one of the most famous waterfalls in Nepal, which is also popular as Patale Chhango. It is located in the city of Pokhara in the Kaski district, just opposite of Gupteshwor cave entrance. The source of water for the fall is Phewa lake, the sparkling white water flows between the rocky gorge, beating everything on its path, and falls a hundred meters deep inside the tunnel.

    This is the mesmerizing view that one encounters. After passing through the tunnel the water passes through the Gupteshwor cave. The current, volume, and force vary from season to season. In monsoon, the volume will be higher compared to the rest of the season, which is also the best time to visit.

    Hyatung Waterfall

    This waterfall is one of the wonders of Nepal, the largest waterfall in Nepal and the second largest in Asia. The vertical length of this waterfall is 365 meters, situated at the Terhathum district. The waterfall is hidden inside the green forest and can captivate the visitors easily by its scenic beauty.

    The waterfall sometimes gets a visible rainbow surrounding it, and this is one of the most mesmerizing moments of the visit. The plants, birds, and other species are another attraction of this fall. This fall gets a huge amount of water during the monsoon season and could dry up during the winter. The route is quite simple, the last stop for the vehicle is Batase, where there is tea house service. After an hour of hiking, one can reach the waterfall.

    Lamo Jharna (Jalbire)

    A straight rocky hill carved by falling water for years, from the height of 60m with the fierce force and thunderous sound, this is the memorable sight of Lamo Jharna. The waterfalls straight to the rocky plain, giving a chilly wind and sprinkles gently touches the face, gives a fresh feeling, and provides a blissful moment. There are three natural ponds in the vicinity for the visitors with the opportunity of getting recreated in freshwater. It is one of the most popular waterfalls in Nepal.

    The waterfall lies in Jalbire on Muglin – Narayangarh Highway. It is around 6 Km away from the busy riverside city of Narayangarh and 30 km away from Muglin. The waterfall could be reached in a 20 min hike from Jalbire Temple.

    Namaste Waterfall

    Namaste Jharna, one of the famous waterfalls of Eastern Nepal, is situated in the Bhedetar Village of Dhankuta District. This thrilling waterfall provides a chilling break from a series of boring hot days. Namaste jharna surely lures us with its scenic beauty. The waterfall point is also a dating point for many youngsters.

    The shape of the waterfall is in “Namaste” form, Namaste is a form of greeting in Nepali culture. The cold bone-chilling water falls down the sloppy hill from the height of 80m to a small pond and goes down through the small stream. The area is quite remote, thus one has to walk around 30-45 min to reach the waterfall from the entrance gate.
